A very attractive original Tri-ang Minic Series II Aveling-Barford Road Roller, complete with its original illustrated box and winding key.
The model is constructed in painted metal with a bright green body, large blue-grey rear roller and twin front rollers. It retains the seated driver, steering wheel, orange side controls and surviving Aveling-Barford and winding instruction decals.
The original box is particularly appealing, with colourful period artwork showing the Aveling-Barford Road Roller and marked Tri-ang Minic Series II, Clockwork Scale Model. The box also advertises hand brake, forward and reverse gears and full steering.
The clockwork mechanism has been tested and is working well, with the road roller travelling under its own power as shown in the accompanying video.
Very good overall vintage condition with light age-related playwear, small scratches, rubbing and minor paint loss, mainly to exposed edges and high points. The green finish remains bright and attractive.
The original driver, rollers, steering wheel and orange controls are present. The surviving decals show some age-related rubbing and loss. The clockwork mechanism has been tested and is working well, as demonstrated in the accompanying video.
The original illustrated box remains colourful and displays well, with general storage wear, rubbing, creasing and edge wear. One end has more noticeable crushing, tears and damage, all clearly shown in the photographs.
Please examine all photographs and the video carefully as these form an important part of the description and provide the best indication of condition and operation.
