JACOB'S BISCUITS
Coronation Coach Biscuit Tin
Circa 1936 · Lithographed Tinplate · Crown-Topped Lid

A characterful W. & R. Jacob & Co. biscuit tin fashioned as an ornate royal carriage. The gold-coloured body is decorated with classical figure scenes, scrolling ornament and curtained windows, beneath a contrasting red and gold roof.

The roof lifts off to reveal the biscuit compartment and retains its embossed crown finial. Four spoked metal wheels complete the carriage form, while the underside carries the printed Jacob & Co. biscuit manufacturers' branding.
