Introduction:
Bond It LEVELMASTER 200 is a polymer-modified, cementitious self-levelling and smoothing compound designed to create a smooth, level base for most common internal flooring applications. The pre-blended, single-pack formula requires only the addition of water, making it straightforward to mix and apply.
Ideal for preparing internal concrete and sand/cement screed floors before installing ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, wood flooring and other common floor coverings. Its flexible polymer-enhanced formulation provides improved flexibility, while the compound can be applied up to 6mm in a single layer or up to 20mm when used with suitable 3mm granite chippings.

Preparation:
Ensure the sub-floor is clean, dry, structurally sound and free from grease, oil, paint, polish and other contaminants that could affect adhesion. Vacuum the surface thoroughly before applying primer or the levelling compound.
Absorbent surfaces should be primed with a suitable waterproof primer. Gypsum and calcium sulphate screeds should be properly sanded, vacuumed and primed before application. Existing tiles must be firmly bonded and free from contaminants, while wooden floors should be appropriately overboarded with suitable exterior-grade plywood.
Where underfloor heating is present, turn it off 48 hours before commencing work and switch it back on 48 hours after completion, increasing the temperature gradually.
Mixing & Application:
Use approximately 3.6L of clean water for every 20kg bag. Slowly add the powder to the water while mixing with a suitable heavy-duty slow-speed drill or paddle. Mix for approximately 3 minutes until a smooth, homogeneous and lump-free consistency is achieved.
Do not overwater the mixture. Pour onto the prepared floor within approximately 10 minutes of mixing and use a flooring trowel or float to promote a smooth finish. A suitable pin leveller may be used to help eliminate entrapped air and smooth flow lines.
For applications above 6mm, additional layers or suitable 3mm granite chippings may be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Drying & Covering:
- Light foot traffic: Approximately 3 hours.
- Soft/flexible floor coverings: Generally after approximately 24 hours, depending on conditions.
- Ceramic tiles: Up to 20mm over internal concrete can generally accept ceramic tiles after approximately 4 hours, subject to the specified conditions.
- Drying times may increase in cold or humid conditions.
- Always ensure the compound is adequately cured before installing the final floor covering.
Important Limitations:
- For internal use only – do not use externally.
- Do not use below +5°C or above +30°C.
- High temperatures can reduce open time.
- Cold or humid conditions can increase drying times.
- Ambient humidity should not exceed 55% RH for at least 28 days after application.
- LEVELMASTER 200 is not a final wearing surface and must be covered with a suitable floor covering.
- PVA is not suitable as a primer before applying smoothing compound.
- Not suitable directly over underfloor heating installations unless the heating is encapsulated with an appropriate screed.
- For areas subject to limited movement or vibration, use with the appropriate latex liquid or consider a more suitable Bond It levelling product.
- Follow all manufacturer's preparation, mixing, application and safety instructions.
Cleaning
Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Once cured, the material can only be removed by mechanical means.
