Supplied without batteries. Each unit requires 3 x AA batteries. I've usually used rechargeable batteries previously.
Condition & Details -
Cosmetic Condition: The radios are structurally intact with some expected light wear from outdoor use. Please note that one of the antennas has a cosmetic crack/seam repair at the base (visible in close-up photos), which has been stabilized and does not affect the inner metal antenna structure.
Battery Compartments: Very clean terminal contacts with absolutely no sign of battery corrosion. Ready for fresh rechargeable packs or standard AA batteries.
Authenticity: Genuine units made in Malaysia (Date: Nov 14, 2001, FCC ID: AZ489FT4850).
Range Performance - These radios operate on both the FRS (Family Radio Service) and GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) bands, offering flexible communication options -
GMRS Channels: Delivers up to 3–5 miles of range under typical outdoor conditions with a clear line of sight.
FRS Channels: Provides up to 1.5–2 miles of range, perfect for close-quarters communication, caravans, or basecamps.
Note: As with all line-of-sight two-way radios, maximum distance varies depending on terrain, dense foliage, and structures.
