Set of two vintage Japanese Hōshō School Noh chant books from 1954.
These are volumes Uchi 2 and Uchi 3 from the Hōshō-ryū Shinshū Utaibon (宝生流新修謡本), a 37-volume series by Hōshō Kurō and published by Wanya Shoten, Tokyo.
The books feature traditional Japanese thread-bound construction, blue patterned covers with original paper title labels, and Noh chant text with performance notation.
Volume 2 – Published August 5, 1954
Volume 3 – Published September 5, 1954
Both are original 1954 first-year issues of this series.
Vintage condition with age-related wear, rubbing and discoloration. Covers and bindings show wear consistent with age. Please review all photos carefully for condition and completeness.
