Radiohead: The Best Of is the band's first official greatest-hits compilation, released in June 2008. It covers material from their first six albums, from Pablo Honey through Hail to the Thief. The compilation was issued by Parlophone after Radiohead's EMI contract ended, and notably the band did not have creative input into the selection and were critical of the release.

It includes:

The Bends

Pyramid Song

Street Spirit (Fade Out)

Everything in Its Right Place

It's an unusually strong collection in terms of individual songs, containing major tracks from The Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief, as well as the breakthrough Pablo Honey single “Creep.”

There was also a 2-CD edition with an additional 13 tracks, including “Airbag,” “I Might Be Wrong,” “Let Down,” “Exit Music (For a Film),” “How to Disappear Completely” and “True Love Waits.”

Overall: The single CD is an excellent introduction to Radiohead, particularly if you want the band's most recognisable songs without going through their individual albums. However, the 2-CD edition is considerably better for a serious Radiohead collection, as it adds some of their more atmospheric and experimental material.

The compilation reached No. 4 in the UK Albums Chart.
