Vintage Stacy Ames women’s tailored jacket, dating most likely to the 1960s.

Beautiful mid-century construction in a warm beige/tan fabric with a contrasting peach/salmon lining. The jacket has a clean collarless neckline, structured boxy silhouette, decorative gold-tone buttons, front flap pockets, and an especially unusual buttoned tab detail across the lower back.

Stacy Ames was an American women’s clothing label active during the mid-century period, with surviving advertising dating to at least 1960. The simple architectural tailoring and restrained neutral color give this jacket a classic 1960s Mod / Jackie-era appearance. �
