This is an original full page advertisement to promote the release of the album Lou Reed Live
This ad is taken from a 1975 issue of the British music paper Melody Maker
In the early 1970's Oliviero Toscani met Lou Reed at Max's Kansas City, and took a series of portraits of him. Years later these shots were used for the album cover and promo campaign of Lou Reed Live. Lou Reed later told Toscani: "You made more money selling the photos to RCA than I ever did from the album."
