• Handmade cricket cage with a gently curved, kidney-shaped body made of horn and slender wood rods
• Cricket-keeping is an ancient Chinese cultural pastime dating back to the Tang dynasty (618–906 AD), when singing crickets were first kept in decorative cages to be enjoyed as pets
• Fitted with a decorative twisted copper carrying handle at the top
• Sliding door for access, set within the vertical wood bars
• Very good condition with no breaks, no missing finish, and no cracks to the bone
• Measures 3" tall, 2" wide, and 2 3/4" wide; door opening measures 2 1/4" tall by 3/4" wide
