Exceptional matching two piece Italian brass espresso and cappuccino maker set dating to approximately the 1950s to 1960s. The large electric espresso maker has a striking mid century industrial design with a bulbous brass body, large spherical screw-down top, arched retaining bracket, long dispensing spout and distinctive ribbed black handle. The matching smaller stovetop espresso maker repeats the same sculptural body shape and unusual ribbed handle design.

The large machine is marked on the underside MADE IN ITALY V.110/120 and includes the removable perforated filter components shown in the photos. The smaller maker includes its fitted lid and internal components.

An exact example of this two piece design has been cataloged as a Bialetti espresso set from the 1950s to 1960s. This particular set does not have a visible Bialetti maker’s mark, so I am describing it as attributed to Bialetti rather than definitively signed.

Both pieces retain their original aged brass surfaces with patina, oxidation, spotting, scratches, discoloration and other wear from age and use. There are areas of verdigris and scattered surface marks visible in the photos. The set has not been polished, preserving the original aged finish. Please examine all photographs closely for condition and included components.

A particularly unusual example of postwar Italian coffee equipment with strong Art Deco influenced and Mid Century Modern industrial styling. The matching two piece configuration is considerably less commonly encountered than the large electric maker by itself.
