Inventor’s Story. I place battery-powered lights in my closets, stairwells, and cabinets. The ones I bought did not work well. One was too sensitive to room lighting and refused to light up. Another would literally turn on when my HVAC started up (too sensitive). And I wanted all of them to be brighter. I’m an electronics engineer, so I designed and built the first Nifty closet light prototype in 2025. It took a year of refinement to engineer Nifty’s smarts.
