Description:
An interior and exterior grade, protein‐free, flexible, latex modified, high performance cementitious floor
levelling compound suitable for use at thicknesses from 3mm to 50mm (up to 60mm with added aggregate).
Conforms to EN13813 CT‐C23‐F6.

Uses
LevelMaster RAPID LEVEL 30 is an ideal underlay for levelling most
common subfloors prior to the installation of floor coverings such
as ceramic floor tiles, carpet, vinyl and wood flooring (minimum
levelling thickness 5mm). Suitable for use with underfloor heating.
It also contains powdered latex eliminating the need for separate
expensive latex liquids.
Substrates
May be used over:
- Concrete and cement based substrates.
- Calcium sulphate (gypsum) screeds (sanded
and vacuumed).
- Properly prepared old ceramic tiles, natural
stone, terrazzo.
- Properly prepared old water resistant adhesive residues.
- New mastic asphalt screeds must be flooring grade
(IC10, IC15) with layer thickness 3-5mm.
Preparation
Sub-floors should be clean, dry, structurally sound and free from
grease, oil, paint, polish or any other contaminants that may
hinder adhesion. Any adhesive or paint residues must be
mechanically removed back to a sound base, likewise all friable
areas must be removed and the substrate repaired with a suitable
repair compound as required. Underfloor heating, turn off 48
hours prior to commencing work and switch back on 48 hours
after completion, raising the temperature 5oC per day.
• All sub-floors on or below ground level should have an effective
damp proof membrane and for subsequent laying of flexible
floorcoverings or timber should have a moisture content of 75%
RH or below. For moisture levels above 75% RH, a surface damp
proof membrane should be applied. Contact Technical Services.
Vacuum clean the surface before application of primer or RAPIDLEVEL 30.
• Gypsum and Anhydrite screeds should always be free from
moisture. Do not use surface damp proof membranes on gypsum
substrates as a method of controlling moisture content.
• Old ceramic tiles should be thoroughly cleaned and abraded and
free from grease before priming.
• Old water-soluble adhesives, should be removed completely
and the surface then primed with a waterproof primer such as
PRIMER AND FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE.
• Old water-resistant adhesives should be mechanically removed
as far as possible and remaining residue firmly bonded.
• Absorbent surfaces, such as concrete and cement, should be
primed with a waterproof primer such as Bond It PRIMER AND
FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE. Note: PVA is not suitable for priming prior
to application of RAPID LEVEL 30.
• Non-absorbent surfaces, such as ceramic, mastic asphalt
and water-resistant adhesive residues, should be cleaned
and primed with a suitable primer. Bond It EXTERIOR
PREGRIT is also recommended for this purpose.
• Calcium Sulphate / gypsum screeds should be sanded
and vacuumed before priming with 2 coats of Bond It
PRIMER AND FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE and left to dry for 24
hours. If LevelMaster RAPID LEVEL 30 is to be used at
thicknesses above 10mm over a gypsum screed (contact Technical
Services).
• New Sanded Mastic Asphalt should be vacuumed before
priming. Recommended layer thickness over mastic asphalt is
maximum 3-4mm.
• Wooden floors should be over boarded with 15mm exterior
grade plywood rigidly fixed with screws at 300mm centres. Prime
as for absorbent surfaces.
Mixing
Use 3.6L of clean water for every 20Kg bag of LevelMaster RAPID
LEVEL 30. Slowly add the powder to the water whilst stirring with
a suitable heavy duty slow speed drill or paddle. Stir for
approximately 3 minutes until a homogenous lump free mix is
formed. Do not overwater! Foam while
mixing, or settling of the sand aggregate
while placing, indicates over-watering.
Application
Pour the RAPID LEVEL 30 onto the prepared
surface and trowel to a smooth finish. Do
not mix more than can be laid in 15
minutes. Never add extra water to this
product once it has started to set. For higher
layer thicknesses (above 3mm) contact with
vertical surfaces should be avoided by using
edging strip. Edge, interior and movement
joints in the floor should not be covered by
RAPID LEVEL 30 and should be closed with
suitable measures. Do not use at
temperatures below 5o
C. RAPID LEVEL 30
floor leveller will accept light foot traffic
after approx 30 minutes.
Ready For Covering
• 3 to 10mm thickness of Levelmaster
RAPID LEVEL 30 can be covered with
FLEXIBLE floor coverings after approx. 24
hours.
• Up to 50mm thickness over internal
concrete and be covered with CERAMIC
TILES after approx 4 hours.
• For non porous surfaces the following
drying times are recommended before
application of CERAMIC TILES:
• Up to 10mm – 1 day
• 10-20mm approx. 3 days
• 20-30mm approx. 7 days
• 30-40mm approx. 10 days
• 40-50mm approx. 14 days
Coverage
One 20Kg bag is sufficient to cover
approximately 4m2 at a thickness of 3mm.
Cleaning
All tools and equipment should be cleaned
in water. Cured material can only be
removed by mechanical means.
Storage Conditions
This product must be stored in unopened
manufacturers bags away from extremes of
temperature and in dry conditions. This
product must be used within 6 months of
manufacture, before the date shown on the
bag.
Disposal of Containers
Do not leave empty containers where
residue could be harmful to children,
animals or the environment. Remove any
containers to a central disposal point in
accordance with local regulations.
