Hand Woven Guatemalan Mayan Huipil Ethnic Folk Art Nebaj Tunic Blouse Textile E

For sale is this Guatemalan Mayan Huipil or tunic blouse. Hand woven by the Mayan indigenous people of Guatemala. The patterns identify the individuals personality, the village she is from, her family heritage, social status and even her marital status. The patterns and meanings of a huipil have remained the same from generations and handed down through the ancient Maya civilization. Lying flat this measures 36” wide by 29” long. I do note some loose seams, some soil spots and color bleeding. There is no finished edge on bottom hem. From smoke free home.
