Epiphone 1958 Korina Flying V in Alpine White, built 2011. Serial 1103201525, 3.08 kg.

What it is: Epiphone's recreation of the 1958 Gibson Flying V - korina body and korina neck, the long neck tenon joint and the 1958 Flying V neck profile, with a laurel fingerboard and gold hardware. Alpine White is the harder colour to find; most of these were made in the natural korina finish, and the solid white makes the shape read very differently.

Condition, exactly as the selling shop recorded it. Grade B - considerable marks and wear, but no problem in normal use:
• Scratches, dings and colour fading over the whole guitar.
• Rust and tarnish on the metal parts from age.
• The strap pins have been relocated, and there are repairs to the original holes at the body end and near the neck joint. This is previous owner's work, not factory.
• Finish cracking and dings on the body corners and sides.

What measured well:
• Neck: no notable problems, playing condition fine. Truss rod checked to 60 degrees each way - no problem.
• Frets: no problems, ample height remaining.
• Action at the 12th fret: 2.0 mm bass / 1.5 mm treble. Nut width 43.0 mm, neck depth 21.3 mm at the 1st fret and 23.8 mm at the 12th, scale 628 mm (24.75"), radius 381 mm (15"), set up with Ernie Ball 2221 .010-.046.
• Serviced before sale: frets levelled, cleaned, restrung, truss rod, intonation and action adjusted.

Included: a non-original soft case.
