Samsung 1TB Internal SSD M.2 2280 MZ-KPU1T0T/0A6

A 1TB PCI Express 3.0 x4 SSD, MLC flash, in an M.2 2280-labeled form factor. Apple part numbers include 655-1810/655-1810A/C/D

Compatibility:

Mac Pro (2013) — A1481 tower
Mac Pro 2013, model 6,1, A1481
MacBook Pro Retina 13" A1502 (Late 2013–Mid 2014) and 15" A1398 (Late 2013–Mid 2015)
iMac 21.5" A1418 and 27" A1419 Retina (Late 2013–Late 2015), Mac mini (Late 2014), and MacBook Air 11"/13" A1465/A1466 (Mid 2013–Early 2015)

So this particular part number was used broadly across Apple's 2013-2015 refresh — MacBook Air, MacBook Pro Retina, iMac, Mac mini, and Mac Pro all shared this same drive/connector generation, which is actually good news for finding an adapter, since it's one of the more common ones on the secondhand parts market.

Interface/connector
Interface is PCI-Express 3.0 x4, with a 12+16 pin proprietary Apple connector, rated at 3.3V/2.5A, and read/write speeds around 1500/1000 MB/s. Same story as your other Apple drives: it's electrically PCIe/NVMe-like, but the physical pinout (12+16 pin) is Apple's own, not standard M.2 — so it needs an adapter built specifically for this 2013-2015 Apple SSD generation, not a generic M.2 NVMe adapter.
