Original Pipe Line Catalog, Eighth Revision (1966-67) published by Pipe Line Industry and printed by Gulf Publishing Company, Houston, Texas.
Large-format professional engineering reference produced for the pipeline, petroleum, and natural gas industries during the mid-1960s.
Rather than a simple directory, this volume serves as a comprehensive industrial purchasing and engineering reference containing hundreds of pages of manufacturer catalogs, technical specifications, engineering standards, equipment data, industrial photography, and product illustrations used in the construction, operation, and maintenance of pipeline systems.
Contents include:
• Extensive alphabetical manufacturer index • Pipeline construction equipment • Compressors and gas transmission systems • Valves, fittings, couplings, strainers, filtration equipment, and instrumentation • Pipeline inspection and corrosion detection technology • Engineering tables and dimensional specifications • Pressure piping standards • Industrial advertising and corporate graphics • Numerous full-page color and black-and-white illustrations • Technical photographs and engineering diagrams throughout
A substantial documentary record of mid-century pipeline engineering and the companies that supplied the worldwide petroleum and gas transmission industries. An excellent addition for collectors of industrial history, engineering references, oil and gas memorabilia, technical libraries, and corporate trade catalogs.
