JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE VELDTSCHOEN BROGUES – BLACK - UK 8 – EXCELLENT CONDITION

A very fine (and rare) pair of vintage full-brogue derby shoes in beautiful black grained calf leather from Joseph Cheaney. They are in excellent used condition overall – notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This pair feature ‘Itshide’ ‘Commando’ rubber soles and the weather resistant veldtschoen construction – and handy package in damp conditions.

In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.

But, please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!

The width fitting is ‘F’ - which is a ‘standard’ width fitting

The shoes feature ‘Itshide’ ‘Commando’ rubber soles, grained calf leather uppers, weather-resistant veldtschoen construction and lightweight leather / linen linings – plus all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
