JOSEPH CHEANEY VINTAGE VELDTSCHOEN DERBY – BROWN / TAN - UK 8 – EXCELLENT CONDITION

A super, vintage pair of Joseph Cheaney plain-front derby shoes in brown / tan calf leather – perfect town-and-country footwear. They are in excellent used condition overall - notwithstanding a little creasing across the vamps and the odd surface mark here and there (see photos). This pair feature the lightweight ‘Rambler’ rubber sole option as well as bellows tongues and the weather-resistant veldtschoen construction – a handy package in wetter conditions.

In my opinion, although modern-day Cheaney shoes are still very desirable, well-made and fashioned from first-class materials, they are not quite as exceptional as those from some years ago. So, if you can find a pair of vintage Cheaney’s in really nice condition then you are probably finding some of the nicest shoes around.

But please remember, these are not new so do not bid on them if you want a pair of completely unmarked shoes – they will cost considerably more !!

The width fitting is ‘G’, which is the ‘wider-than-standard’ width fitting.

The shoes feature ‘Rambler’ rubber soles, weather-resistant veldtschoen construction, bellows tongues, calf leather uppers, full leather linings - and all the build-quality that one expects from this traditional English shoemaker.
