Further information about the airframe

Bristol Britannia 312, c/n 13236, named Renown. It had been delivered new to BOAC in December 1957, later leased to British United Airways, briefly wet-leased to MEA, and then leased to British Eagle in June 1964. G-AOVE remained with British Eagle until November 1966. It then became EC-WFK, shortly afterwards EC-BFK, with Air Spain.
