WWII British Military GS/TP Pocket Watch – Swiss 15J – Original Bravingtons Case – Working

A genuine British military-issue General Service / Timing Pocket watch (GS/TP) dating from the Second World War era, circa 1939–1945. A complete and working example in honest, unrestored condition.

The watch features:

• Warm salmon/champagne patinated dial with bold Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock
• "Swiss Made" printed to dial
• Nickel-cased with engine-turned bezel and bow
• 15-jewel Swiss lever movement, clean and running well
• Case back stamped GS/TP, broad arrow War Department mark with "S" inspector designation, and military issue number 038060

Original Bravingtons leather wallet case — a rare survival. Stamped in gilt lettering with multiple London branch addresses including Kings Cross, Ludgate Hill, Brompton Road, Trafalgar Square and Orchard Street.

The dial shows honest age patination. The case has light service scratches consistent with age and use and the leather is damaged where the watch slots in (see pic). Movement is currently running.

A lovely, complete example of British military horology with genuine provenance markings and its original retail case — increasingly hard to find together.
