This lot is for a classic Midland Automobile Club car badge. This classic car badge is a Midland Automobile Club MAC type. This classic car badge has the makers name of Marples & Beasley Birmingham stamped on the rear. 

This club car badge is a Midland Automobile Club (MAC) which was founded in 1901. The club is famous for organising speed hill climbs at Shelsley Walsh in Worcestershire, England.  The club was established in January 1901 at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham, it is one of the oldest motoring and motorsport clubs in the world. Significance: The club operates the historic Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb venue, which remains the oldest operational motorsport venue in the world using its original course. 

The badge is a circular type featuring a blue outer ring with "MIDLAND AUTOMOBILE CLUB - FOUNDED 1901" lettering, a white enamel center, the monogram "MAC", and a distinctive rising sun motif in yellow and orange. 

This badge is an original car badge suitable for either a classic car placement or any automobilia enthusiast.
