"Lady Godiva" is a porcelain figure designed in the 1950s by Jaroslav Jezek, a leading product designer from the former Czechoslovakia, at Royal Dux.

This is a minimal and elegant work based on the motif of "Lady Godiva, a proud countess of the 11th century England who marched naked on horseback to save her people,'' which is also known as the symbol of Godiva Chocolate.

The shadows and highlights on the all-white porcelain surface create a beautiful contrast, making the beauty of the sculpture stand out even more.

This large-sized item is particularly representative of the series of works by "Ježek'', which received the Grand Prix at the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels, Belgium, and quickly attracted attention. This item is a condensation of the sculptural beauty of designer "Jeczek", who led the unique style of Czech modernism called "Brussels Style" where classic and modern coexist.
