Vintage original black-and-white photograph of Mae West and Roger Pryor from the 1934 Paramount film Belle of the Nineties.
The photograph measures approximately 8.25" x 7" and shows West in an elaborate feathered costume and oversized hat alongside Pryor.
Of particular interest, a period newspaper clipping reproducing this exact photograph is glued to the reverse of the photo. The clipping bears a September 18, 1934 date stamp and identifies Mae West and Roger Pryor, promoting the upcoming Paramount opening of Belle of the Nineties. This provides a wonderful piece of contemporary documentation connecting the photograph directly to its 1934 publicity use.
The photograph shows vintage handling and age wear, including edge/corner wear and surface marks/blemishes.
NOTE: The newspaper clipping on the reverse is permanently glued in place and shows expected age, toning and wear.
An unusual original 1930s Hollywood photograph with its contemporary newspaper appearance preserved directly on the reverse.
