This is the impressive large 50 mm silver version, substantially larger than the more commonly encountered smaller 30 mm issue.
The medal retains excellent reflective surfaces and sharp detail. There are some light handling lines/hairlines visible in the mirror fields under strong lighting, which are shown clearly in the photographs.
The medal has not been cleaned or polished.
At 34.77 grams and 50 mm, this is a substantial and very attractive Apollo 11 silver medal commemorating one of mankind’s greatest achievements.
