Up for sale is a rare vintage Vostok (Wostok) Caliber 2809 manual-wind wristwatch movement. Introduced in 1957, the 2809 is celebrated as the USSR's premiere "Precision Class" movement.
Key Technical Features & Architecture:
Zenith 135 Inspired Layout: Uses an indirectly driven minute/second train and positions the escape wheel bearing beneath the balance wheel to allow for an oversized, high-precision balance wheel.
Fine Regulation: Equipped with a micro-adjustment fine regulator system and 22 jewel bearings.
Stamps & Markings: Main bridge is stamped with the Vostok circled "В" logo, 22 JEWELS, and serial number 95794. The mainplate displays the 2809 caliber designation near the balance cock.
Aesthetic Finish: Features star-pattern detailing on the ratchet wheel and gilt-finished bridge plates.
