Vintage Wagner Ware Sidney -O- 1401-C nickel-plated cast iron double skillet. The 1401-C was designed as the upper skillet/lid component of Wagner's double-skillet combination cooker, while also functioning independently as a skillet.

This example retains much of its original nickel-plated exterior and has been freshly restored and seasoned. The cooking surface cleaned up very nicely and remains smooth with light evidence of previous use. The nickel plating shows age-related wear and areas of loss/chipping, primarily along the rim, edges, handle and other high points, exposing the cast iron beneath.

When used independently as a skillet, a slight spin was noted when tested on our folding work table; flatness on a glass cooktop has not been verified. This does not affect its intended function as the upper/lid component of the Wagner double-skillet system.

Measurements:

  • Approx. 11" diameter
  • Approx. 11¾" spout to spout
  • Approx. 15¾" overall including handle
  • Inner mating/lid lip: approx. 10 9/16" diameter
  • Weight: 4 lb 4 oz
