Original ceramic figurative sculpture by Pacific Northwest artist Kim Murton.

This wonderfully expressive hand-built figure features Murton's distinctive cartoon-like style, with an oversized sculptural face, prominent red lips and teeth, incised details, dimensional hands and a striking green leafy or headdress-like element extending over the back of the head.

Murton is known for working in low-fire terra cotta clay with colored slips and underglazes, combining influences from Pre-Columbian and Mexican ceramics with her background in animation, comics and illustration.
