Up for sale is a wonderful antique Victorian coin purse. 

The purse features an elegant rounded rectangular faux tortoise with a rich dark brown and amber mottled appearance. The front is decorated with an ornate applied silver monogram, giving the piece a refined and highly personal character.

Opening the clasp reveals a wonderfully preserved accordion-style interior, lined in deep blue fabric and divided into multiple expanding compartments/one of which with addition clasp/.  Silver clasp.

A charming survivor from the Victorian / Belle Époque period and an attractive example of an elegant personal accessory from around the turn of the century!
