This is a vintage 1969/1970’s Ideal Black Crissy doll featuring her signature growing hair mechanism and wearing a lime-green lace dress with matching shoes.

Manufacturer & Year: Produced by the Ideal Toy Corporation beginning in 1969, this is the vintage African American version of Crissy.

Key Feature: She features a functional "grow-hair" mechanism operated by a twist knob on her back and a tummy button to retract or extend her long dark hair.

Outfit: The doll is dressed in a period-style lime-green sheer lace mini dress with ruffled cuffs and a high lace collar, paired with matching lime shoes. She has a pair of white panties as well. The doll has sleepy eyes that work well and is in very good condition.

On her neck it shows 1969 Ideal Toy Company GH-17-H320 ( I believe). I love you. Also has 1969 and Ideal Toy Company plus Pat # on her tush.
