This is a Vintage NEW OLD STOCK IBM Opal LX 486SLC2 Motherboard. The included manual was printed in 1993, so I am guessing the board was manufactured in 1993 or 1994.

I was lucky enough to find this new old stock board along with several others just like it in an air conditioned warehouse that belonged to a computer company that was going out of business. This truly is a new an unused board without a leaking barrel battery.

It is not common to find such a board in this condition with the included manual.

The motherboard has an integrated CPU - the 486SLC2. I recommend doing some research to understand how this CPU performs, but my understanding is that it performs superior to a 386SX as it has 16kb of L1 cache and an internal clock doubler similar to a 486.

This would make a great little high end 386 DOS machine where you are looking to have a reliable board and CPU ready to go.
