Wonderful vintage CEWEC Scandinavian Design needlepoint / tapestry pattern featuring a neoclassical scene after celebrated Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen.

Pattern V4333 depicts three classical figures surrounded by sheaves of grain, a design associated with Thorvaldsen’s “Summer / Youth” harvest scene. Rendered in rich shades of rust, brown, cream and beige, the finished circular needlework has the elegant appearance of an antique carved or sculpted relief.
