The quarter plate daguerreotype has been resealed and fitted with a new sheet of cover glass. The image is sharp and has nice hand tinting applied. The image has very nice contrast and tonal range. The full case has the original leather hinge, both working clasps and a beautiful red velvet pillow. I guarantee the next owner will enjoy this stunning daguerreotype for many years to come.
