ESSENTIAL HEAVY WEATHER GEAR: Unused "New Old Stock" (NOS) High-Viz Storm Mainsail (~3.9m²)
Up for sale is a completely unused, store-stored storm mainsail (trysail equivalent). Constructed from heavy-gauge Dacron in brilliant safety orange, this sail is engineered to hoist directly up the main mast track when severe weather dictates dropping the primary mainsail.
KEY DESIGN FEATURES:
• Low-Aspect High-Clew Cut: Designed with a 4.8m leach relative to a 3.0m luff. The elevated clew keeps sheet tension pulling cleanly down to deck blocks while staying well clear of breaking seas over the stern.
• Mast Track Sliders: Fitted with standard white nylon mast sliders for direct hoisting up standard aluminum or wooden mast tracks.
• Extended Tack Luff Strobe: Features an extended luff rope/pendant at the tack, allowing the sail to be hoisted higher up the mast into smoother air above any flaked deck mainsail.
• Pristine "Zero Wear" Condition: Kept in dry storage since manufacture. Zero fabric wear, zero UV degradation, and bright hardware.
