Up for auction is a circa 1880-1890 cabinet card depicting a cigar shop with" life cigar store Indian" out front and a large group of cigar aficionados. The shop has some interesting adverting signs that can be read with the use of a magnifying glass or loupe. One sign reads "john Schefter Manufacturer of Fine Cigars"  must be the store name and another sign that is fairly clear reads " Smoke Little Joker Tobacco" The photo has no attribution, or photo studio listed just a black back : Poor, nicks around the edges rubbing, age toning, creases. That being said its hard to find examples of Cigar stores and Cigar Store Indians from the time period. As always any questions feel free to ask.
