An exquisite matched pair of antique French Mont Joye (Legras & Cie.) satin art glass vases, dating aapproximately 1895–1910, and beautifully representative of the French Art Nouveau movement.

Each vase is 7 1/4"  tall and features a luminous acid-etched satin finish that gently graduates into a soft purplish lavender-shaded trumpet rim, finished with hand-applied gilt decoration. The graceful bodies are richly embellished with finely hand-painted enamel stylized meadow flowers inspired by lilies, blossoms, and wildflowers, complemented by raised gilt stems, delicate blue floral accents, and heart-shaped foliage. The harmonious palette of lavender, soft pink, blue, green, and gold reflects the romantic naturalism that made Mont Joye glass so desirable.

Unlike botanical studies, these floral motifs are artistic interpretations of flowering meadow plants, designed to capture the flowing elegance and organic beauty characteristic of French Art Nouveau.

The pair remains exceptionally well matched in form, color, and decoration, making them an elegant display for a cabinet, mantel, or collection of fine French art glass.
