This vintage red-painted wooden charity box "PLEASE HELP THE HOSPITAL"
Small integrated keyhole lock on the front.Era/Style: Appears to be a mid-20th-century or earlier Voluntary hospital collection box, commonly placed in public areas or shops prior to the NHS.
Original Distressed red-painted wood with weathered stenciled text and a simple metal locking mechanism.
Brass lock and hinges

Dovetailing
Age related wear
The brass lock is no longer locking as it should (see video)
Key can be awkward to get in and out
Bottom left dovetailing needs attention.
