This tiny single-tube regenerative set was licensed under Armstrong U.S. Patent No. 1,113,149 and marketed for use by radio amateurs, experimenters, and schools. It was one of the most affordable radios of the early broadcast era, helping bring radio into thousands of American homes in the mid-1920s.

This example has the correct black crackle-finish composition cabinet with:

• Original factory label on the underside: "Crosley Pup Regenerative Receiver," with guarantee text and manufacturing details still legible
• Exposed vacuum tube mounted on top (label reads "TESTED No B S.E.C.")
• Variable resistance control knob on the front face, with adjustment knobs on both sides
• Rear terminal strip with brass binding posts for phones/antenna/ground connections
• Original cloth-covered lead wires with alligator clips for A/B battery and antenna/ground hookup

A handwritten collector's note found with the radio reads "Crosley 'Pup' Radio 'As New Condition,'" dated by a previous owner, suggesting it has been carefully kept as a collectible for many years.
