Historian (Padua 1881 - there 1963); prof. univ. from 1925 to 1951, he taught medieval and modern history at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, in Milan; author of numerous publications, including: Pius II and Italian politics in the fight against the Malatestas, 1457-1463 (1911); The papacy, Christian Europe, the Tartars (1930); Studies around Pope Alexander VI (Borgia) (1950); The time of Pope Alexander VI and of Fra Girolamo Savonarola (1960).
