From the German/Frenchfolk art tradition of decorative wooden hanging harvest/bread plates, this mid-century piece was made some time between the 1940's and 70's. It features a nice wood grain, over which the swirls of wheat dance, symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and the harvest. Nice edge design with carved scallops into the wood.
