This 1999 Jaguar XJR was sold new in Los Angeles and resided in Southern California until 2019 when the car was purchased and moved to Texas. The car was acquired in 2019 with 67k indicated miles and the current owner has added approximately 3500 miles since that time. Power is provided by a supercharged 4.0L V8 backed by a 5-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Spindrift White over a Cashmere Beige interior. A set of “asteroid” wheels from a later XJR have been installed along with a matching spare, and servicing included new upper timing chain tensioners fitted in 2018, repair of the ABS computer, and an oil and filter changes performed every 3000 miles. This XJR is now being offered with a clean Texas title.

Spindrift White bodywork is contrasted by silver-finished asteroid wheels from a post-2000 Jaguar XJR. Per the previous seller, the front and rear bumpers were repainted due to chips and scrapes under previous ownership. However, both the front and rear bumper exhibit scratches and paint damage as shown in the photos and could use a repaint.  There is also some paint damage below the passenger side front door.

Approximately three years ago paint correction and ceramic coating were performed and the paint is in excellent condition aside from a few scratches and dings in the body.  The car has always been stored in a garage under current ownership.

Some chips and curb marks are present on the wheels, Tires were replaced a few years ago and have 95% tread remaining. The spare  tire is in good condition and is shown in the gallery. The power antenna does fully retracts but does not raise fully.  However, stereo reception is excellent and the sound system works as it should.

The cabin is finished in Cashmere Beige, with black carpets and upper surfaces. Cracks are visible on the driver’s seat base, and closeup photos are provided of the seating surfaces and wood interior trim.  The dash is in excellent condition and overall the interior is in very good condition for the age of the vehicle.  The air conditioning blows ice cold and keeps the car cold in Texas summer heat.

The car is equipped with a Harman Kardon stereo system, and factory instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, tachometer with 6k-rpm redline, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge. Just under 70,400 miles are shown on the digital odometer but milage will increase some as the car is driven occasionally.

The supercharged 4.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 370 horsepower and 387 lb-ft of torque when new. Per the previous owner, the upper timing chain tensioners were replaced in 2018.  The timing tensioner was upgraded to a metal guide to eliminate the risk of failure of the original plastic style guide.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Mercedes-sourced 5-speed automatic transmission.  The XJR is responsive and powerful and a joy to drive!
