Antique Oshkosh Steamer Trunk Drawer & Shoe Box — c. 1900–1920

Offered is a rare antique Oshkosh steamer/wardrobe trunk with original drawers and shoe-box compartment, dating approximately to the 1900–1920 era.

This is a genuine vintage/antique travel trunk with wonderful age, character, and patina. It was purchased from a well-known antique store in California and has been privately stored in a dry environment.

🔑 Original Key Included

One of the most interesting features is the original key. The correct key was located through a private collector by researching and matching the part number of the original lock.

The original key cost $145, and a copy of the key is also included with the trunk.

🎬 California / Early Film-Era History

The trunk came with an interesting history connecting it to an early artist troupe in Sunol, California, in the East Bay, with a possible connection to the early Essanay Studios era.

There is also an intriguing story that it may have been an extra/personal trunk associated with “Charlie” / Charlie Chaplin.
