1939 Raffles: The Sophisticated Game of Chance – Corey Game Co.

Offered is an original 1939 “Raffles: The Sophisticated Game of Chance” vintage game manufactured by the Corey Game Company.
This is a wonderful example of a pre-war American gambling-themed game, featuring striking 1930s artwork in orange, black and cream. The illustrated graphics and period typography give this game considerable appeal as a piece of vintage graphic design and Americana, even aside from its gameplay.

The game includes the original illustrated box, original wagering cloth/playing surface, three dice, dice cup and numerous original playing chips. Based on the components present, the game appears to be complete, although I cannot guarantee that every original chip is present.

Condition

The game is in vintage condition with appropriate age and wear.
The original box shows noticeable wear to the edges and corners, along with scuffs, scratches, and some loss to the printed surface. The box artwork remains remarkably attractive and displays very well considering its age.

The playing cloth, dice, cup and chips also show signs of age and previous use. Please examine the photographs carefully for the condition of the individual components.
No attempt has been made to repaint, restore or replace the original components.
