Lot of (3) small antique books:

* very rare miniature, c1843, "The Poetical Works of Robert Burns"; with a Memoir of the Author's Life, and a Glossary; followed by an excerpt from "To The Guidwife of Wauchop House". Published by Derby: Thomas Richardson and Son, Dublin. Brown cloth, blind embossed, title on spine. Apx 5 1/4" X 3 3/8"; 339 pages. Two pages of engravings precede the title page. There appears to be an error in publishing as the first page of the Memoir ends without a period.  I could not find a reference for this, however suspect the reason the pages were numbered (by an earlier owner) at the top of the first few pages is related.  Rough or deckle page ends. The only other copy I could find is located in a Museum in Scotland. Foxing, consistent with age.

* "Memoir of James Brainerd Taylor" by James Holt Rice and Benjamin Holt Rice. Second Stereotype Edition.  Published by The American Tract Society, New York; 1833.  Apx 6" X 3 3/4". Full burled leather. Scattered light foxing and wear.

* "The Works of Francis Rabelais", translated from the French  .. with explanatory notes. By M . Le Du Chat, and others. Vol II (of 4 volumes).  Printed for T. Evans, London; MDCCLXXXIV (1784).  Apx 7" X 4 3/8". Full leather. Please note the front board is separated, and there is age-appropriate wear.
