Hello dear customers,Up for sale is a rare vintage Soviet Russian trinket or presentation box, dating to the early post-WWII period, circa 1947–1950.The box was manufactured by the famous Karbolit Factory in Orekhovo-Zuyevo, USSR, and is made of molded Carbolite/Bakelite-type early synthetic material in an attractive warm color.It features a striking geometric, tiered construction with strong late Art Deco influence. The hinged lid is decorated with an exceptionally detailed architectural bas-relief depicting the Mossoviet Building in Moscow, with the molded Cyrillic inscription:

“МОСКВА / ЗДАНИЕ МОССОВЕТА”

The architectural scene is surrounded by a circular border and stylized floral ornaments in each corner, giving the box a distinctive combination of Soviet monumental imagery and decorative Art Deco-inspired design.The box stands on four integrated feet and is fitted with two metal hinges. The interior is clean and simply finished in the same colored material.Most importantly, the underside retains its original molded manufacturer's mark in a decorative scroll frame:

“Завод Карболит / Орехово Зуево”

A very interesting and highly decorative example of early post-war Soviet design, combining architecture, industrial design and Soviet-era imagery.

The box is preserved in excellent vintage condition.
