Author: Robert Creeley
Title: For Love: Poems 1950-1960
Publication: Robert Scribner's Sons, New York, 1962
Description: Soft cover. First edition, simultaneous softcover issue. Inscribed on the title page to Douglas Calhoun, the editor of Anthanor journal, which published a special issued devoted to Creeley: "'Robert Creeley' with love, Bob." Perhaps the book was already signed so Creeley put quotes around his name. With Calhoun's ownership signature on the FFEP. The book is in very good plus condition because of some light rubbing and wear at edges of spine. Laid in is note in Creeley's hand on the back of State University of New York at Buffalo official stationary with his address, Mary Novik's address at the University of British Columbia, and finally "Lowell Cohn c/o Bob Wilson, Phoenix Bookshop"; in fine condition. Along with it is a ruled 3 x 5" inch paper pulled from a notebook in Calhoun's hand with some bibliographic notes related to Creeley, perhaps for that special issue, and few other stray thoughts. Both notes folded in half. Very Good.
