Up for sale is a complete Japanese release of Ōkami for the PlayStation 2.
Originally released in Japan in 2006, Ōkami is one of the most distinctive and critically acclaimed action adventure games of the PlayStation 2 era.
Players take control of the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu, who takes the form of a white wolf and sets out across a world inspired by Japanese mythology and folklore to restore life to a land consumed by darkness.
Ōkami is instantly recognisable for its beautiful visual presentation, which recreates the appearance of traditional Japanese ink painting, while its innovative Celestial Brush allows players to directly interact with the world by drawing onto the screen.

The game is complete with its original PlayStation 2 case, cover artwork, Japanese instruction manual and genuine game disc.
The game has been tested and is working perfectly, as shown in the photographs. I did not notice any marks on the disc.
The original case presents very well overall with some light cosmetic marks and shelf wear consistent with age and previous storage.
The cover artwork remains bright and attractive, with the distinctive Japanese artwork presenting extremely well beneath the clear outer sleeve.
The original Japanese instruction manual is included and completes the set.

Ōkami is an action adventure game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom, originally released for PlayStation 2 in Japan on 20 April 2006.
The story follows Amaterasu, the Shinto sun goddess reborn in the form of the legendary white wolf Shiranui, as she journeys across Nippon to restore the land after it is overtaken by darkness.
Central to the game is the Celestial Brush, an innovative gameplay system that allows players to pause the action and use the analogue stick to paint directly across the screen.
Different brush techniques can be used to slash enemies, repair damaged objects, create bridges, manipulate elements, restore vegetation and solve environmental puzzles throughout the adventure.
As Amaterasu regains her lost powers, additional Celestial Brush techniques become available and open new ways to explore the world and interact with its inhabitants.
Combat combines real time action with Amaterasu’s Divine Instruments and Celestial Brush abilities, allowing different weapons and techniques to be combined against the many supernatural enemies encountered throughout the journey.
Exploration plays an equally important role, with towns, forests, fields, temples, caves and other locations containing characters to assist, hidden areas to discover, puzzles to solve and sections of the natural world waiting to be restored.
Ōkami’s striking presentation is designed to resemble a living Japanese ink painting, with flowing brushwork, vivid colours and environments that dramatically transform as life is returned to them.
Its combination of Japanese mythology, exploration, combat, puzzle solving and distinctive visual design helped Ōkami become one of the defining cult classics of the PlayStation 2 generation. Capcom continues to describe the original as a 2006 Japanese style action adventure centred around Amaterasu and the restoration of life to the world.
