Rare Baccarat “Églantier” Cameo Beaker — Grand Tour, 19th Century

A wonderful—and extremely rare—antique French Baccarat “Églantier” cameo glass beaker from the Grand Tour period. In luminous Vaseline green, the cup is fully acid-etched and finished as an Old Paris souvenir. One side features a cranberry-red enameled town view on a warm yellow ground, framed by all-around fleur-de-lis ornaments; the reverse shows olive branches and a crown. Inscribed “Vieux Paris.”

The tumbler is in excellent condition.

Although the glass is unsigned (typical for pieces of this period), the quality of the work and the Églantier pattern are unmistakably Baccarat.

Excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
