This is a pre-owned vintage item being sold as is in acceptable used condition bearing signs of wear and patina commensurate with age and use.

This is not merely decorative; it is a functional and aesthetic idol for home use.   Her Deepa (deep, diya, diyo, Deepak, etc) or lamp is deep enough to hold a measurable amount of oil for burning and the lost wax casting is heavy enough to withstand the temperature and dissipate the heat.  Alternately a candle may be placed between her feet to heat fragrant oils.

Item stands approximately 15" tall and measures 4.5" across at the base.   Made of cast brass/bronze, this Deepa Lakshmi  weighs approximately 10 pounds 2.5 oz

There are traces of exotic oil/incense smell that I have been unable to remove in spite of a light cleaning.  It may be gone by the time she finds a new home.
