Massive Original Cinema Trade Ephemera Archive – Approx. 300 Pieces

An exceptional lifetime collection of original cinema trade ephemera, comprising approximately 200 original film trade advertisements together with 4 large scrapbook albums containing hundreds of original cinema-related cuttings, publicity photographs, reviews, magazine features and promotional material.

This is not a collection of modern reproductions or commercial posters. The majority of the larger pieces are original trade advertisements of the British cinema industry and originally published in trade magazines and newspapers to promote forthcoming film releases to cinema owners and exhibitors.

The collection spans approximately the 1930s through to the 1970s, with its greatest strength being British and Hollywood cinema from the 1930s, 1940s and immediate post-war period.

Condition : Very good overall, original period material. As expected from an archive assembled over many decades there is minor age-related wear throughout including folds, edge wear, handling marks etc.
