Naval Advance Base Espiritu Santo, most often just called Espiritu Santo, was a major advance Naval base that the U.S. Navy Seabees built during World War II to support the Allied effort in the Pacific. The base was located on the island of Espiritu Santo in the New Hebrides, now Vanuatu, in the South Pacific.

Large format 5x7 film negative. Created in the late 1940s from an original 1940s Official U.S. Navy Photo. The negative was created to make EKC Real Photo Postcards. I have three sheet-film boxes full of these WWII images taken from original photos. Some of these images are well-known while other images are rare. You'll find some of these images already exist online - but the contrast & detail is usually less impressive than what's captured in these negatives...and, of course, these negatives are not digitized or pixelated ~ making them excellent for reproduction.
